The Happy Kid Speech Therapy is happy to offer concierge services to the Lake Norman Community. What does this mean? Services are personalized to the individual needs of the child and their family. This is achieved by maintaining a small caseload and offering services in the child’s home, daycare, or school setting. With a small caseload, it allows for increased flexibility, comunication with the therapist, and personalization for services.

Speech therapy treatment targets a variety of skills including receptive language (understanding language), expressive language (talking/ signing/ other modes of communication), articulation, fluency (stuttering), social communication, and alternative communication methods using assistive technology.

What is the Process?

  • Phone Consultation

    • First, a free 15 minute phone consultation is offered to discuss your child’s needs and answer any questions you may have.

  • Assessment

    • If a choice is made to move forward, a full assessment of your child’s speech and language skills will be completed in your home. The assessment will include parent input, clinical observations, and formal testing. Following the evaluation, we will discuss if your child requires speech and language treatment and work together to establish goals.

  • Treatment

    • If treatment is agreed upon, sessions will be provided in a natural environment for your child. These may include your home, daycare, or favorite playground as children learn best in environments they are familiar with.
